Shopping in Kyrenia

Kyrenia has some great souvenirs shops just near the historic castle as well as fashion shops.

From 9am to 1pm and then from 2pm to 6pm. Most of the shops are closed on Sundays.

TL (Turkish Lira) but you can also spend Euros, Sterling, Dollars and it is better to carry some Turkish Lira as some of the small markets might not accept foreign money or may use rough exchange rate to change it into Lira.

There are some exchange bureaus in town center but most of the hotels exchange money at their reception.

Most shops accept Visa or Master only but not the small ones. There are ATM's in the certain areas like in from of the big supermarkets or banks. Only hotels or car rental companies accept Traveler's Cheques not the shops. You can exchange traveller cheques at hotel reception or in the exchange offices.
