A visit to Cape Town, the oldest city in South Africa, which is also the "mother city", is a unique experience for every tourist. Cape Town is located between the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean in the east. Table Mountain is one of its most notably attractions, which forms a large part of Table Mountain National Park.

The first commander at the Cape, Jan van Riebeeck was the real founder of Cape Town in 1652. In the valley at the foot of Table Mountain, he presented a vegetable garden for the sailors suffering from deficiency of vitamin, who passed by on their way to India. At the Cape, he traded cattle with Khoi, had a hospital and a dock built and laid the foundation stones of the Castle of Good Hope.

Cape Town is an ingenious and exciting mix of Africa, Europe, Caribbean and California. In the noble, dense suburb with mighty oaks and conifers, Constantia thrive some of South Africa's world-famous wines. On the way to the Cape of Good Hope is one lonely beach.

Today, Cape Town is the mother city of South Africa. If you regard the city, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and be pleased with the possible peaceful coexistence of different cultures next to each other. If you would like to discover the Dutch and British roots, the way of life of Cape Malays, visit the townships at night and go to the Waterfront.

Some of the places to visit in Cape Town include neighbourhood of Bo-Kaap, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island and Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. There are also some museums to visit, which include Bo-Kaap Museum, District Six Museum, Groot Constantia, South African Jewish Museum and South African Maritime Museum.
