Kusadasi has many things to do; for your first stop, take a trip to Dilek National Park. This stunning national park is situated not far from the town and is a hotspot for tourists between April and November. Hiking and swimming are the main activities to do here; bring a picnic and your swimming costume and make a full day of basking in the natural beauty of the park. You will find a selection of restaurants here if you don’t want to bring a packed lunch, along with showers, water fountains and picnic equipment. 

The highlight of any trip to Kusadasi is the chance to take a day trip to the Temple of Artemis. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the ruins of this magnificent ancient temple drive thousands to travel to Turkey just to get a glimpse of it. The history of this area begins back to the 6th century BCE when the first temple was constructed on the orders of King Kresios, complete with 36 gigantic columns. When a massive fire destroyed it, the temple was then rebuilt in the 2nd century BCE. This time, the temple was constructed on a grander scale, complete with 127 columns. The temple was then destroyed by an earthquake, at the same time as Alexander the Great was born, according to legend.

In Kusadasi itself, you will find this port town full of charms and hidden gems. Just walking along the streets is a fun way to spend a couple of hours and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. As Kusadasi is a port town, the harbour and marine life adds to the charm and appeal of the town. Head to the Fish Market where you can buy the freshest fish available including, octopus, gray mullet, anchovies and squid to name but a few. If you want to sample fresh seafood, there are a number of restaurants near the fish market.

From fish to other things; the downtown area by the fish market features a wonderful open air bazaar and a number of shops and boutiques. Here you will discover many things you can haggle for (haggling is an essential part of the shopping experience in Kusadasi), from typical souvenirs to fine jewellery.

This part of the Mediterranean is a treasure chest of coves, bays, islands, islets and beaches, all ready and waiting to be explored. The best way to do this is, of course, by boat. There are many different boat companies in Kusadasi that offers many different boat trips where you can visit beaches, islands, coves, inlets and sailing, swimming and snorkelling opportunities.

Restaurants in Kusadasi feature many different types of cuisine from authentic Turkish dishes to well known Western meals. The seafood is perhaps a favourite among tourists since restaurants here feature locally caught fresh seafood.

Hotels in Kusadasi are plentiful, catering to all comforts and wallets. There is a good selection of accommodation along the waterfront and a range of cheaper options scattered throughout the town.
